Women Require Smaller Dosage of Flu Shot

This is NOT an endorsement of the highly controversial (and possibly dangerous) H1N1 Swine Flu vaccination, or any other flu shot for that matter. But it is interesting to note in this article from the New York Times that a woman’s body is able to immunize itself in a much stronger way with only half the amount of vaccine.

Why has this never been taken into account before? As young girls we were given vaccinations against childhood diseases in the same doses as our male counterparts.

Drug manufacturers and the medical community want us to trust them with our lives, but don’t take the time to properly test the vaccines or the effective dosages?

We must take all the facts into account before we agree to any recommended vaccine. It’s important for us to make that decision ourselves. It appears that no one cares about our bodies as much as we do. Let’s not be guinea pigs for any drug or drug company.

I think my African friend (a well-educated scientist in her own right) has it right when she purposely took her children around kids with childhood diseases. Her kids got the diseases themselves and were thus naturally immunized against getting it again. And none of them died from the diseases, but they came through it stronger.

According to an article posted by Israel21c, studies done at Israel’s Volcani Institute have shown that you don’t have to drink red wine with your meal anymore. If you eat a fresh red plum while eating, that plum knocks out the oxidizing agents found in 7 ounces of red meat.

Not only that – the levels of antioxidants they found in red plums are 3-5 times higher than the antioxidants available in pomegranates, red wine, apples and bananas.

So now it’s up to you – but for best results, eat it with the meal.

Alcohol During IVF Substantially Decreases Success of Becoming Pregnant

Why any woman would be drinking alcohol while trying to become pregnant isn’t the point of this article. Numerous studies have proven the risks of any alcohol consumption to the developing fetus.

But this is information about couples undergoing IVF, in-vitro fertilization. For those men and women, abstaining from alcohol is a must. Yes, men as well as women have been advised to limit alcohol consumption. Men are told to limit beer, women are advised to limit white wine.

“Couples who shared slightly more than one bottle of wine a week reduced their chance of a baby through the treatment by 26 per cent, according to a new study.”
